Glenfiddich unveils Lunar New Year 2025 collection with artist Zhang Yu

Glenfiddich has announced an artistic collaboration that bridges Eastern and Western traditions through its limited-edition Lunar New Year 2025 collection. The release, titled “A Gift for Great Encounters,” showcases exclusive designs by contemporary ink artist Zhang Yu across their premium whisky range.

The collaboration symbolizes the meeting of two cultural icons: Glenfiddich’s signature stag and the mythical nine-colored deer from Chinese legend. This creative fusion reflects Glenfiddich’s 17-year presence in the Chinese market, where Western distilling heritage meets Eastern refinement.

Zhang Yu, renowned for masterful ink wash techniques, brings this cultural convergence to life through a blend of traditional Chinese watercolor and modern artistic approaches. Her work adorns the limited-edition packaging for Glenfiddich’s premium offerings, including the 21 Year Old Gran Reserva and two Travel Retail exclusive expressions from the Perpetual range – the 15 Year Old VAT 03 and 18 Year Old VAT 04.
