Unveiled during a dazzling event in Cannes, this latest addition to Hendrick’s Cabinet of Curiosities captures the essence of a Scottish sunset, blending vibrant citrus and warm spices to evoke a serene yet captivating experience.


Set against the backdrop of the Cannes beach at sundown, the launch was nothing short of magical. The event featured dancers who carried a screen in a dramatic procession, revealing none other than Hendrick’s Master Distiller, Lesley Gracie. Gracie, the creative mind behind the brand's latest gin, shared how her inspiration came from the sunsets she observed at home on the wild west coast of Scotland. “I wanted to capture the sense of everything settling, calming, but still with the warmth of the sun,” Gracie said, a sentiment echoed in the gin’s deep spice and citrus notes, which symbolize both warmth and the sun itself.


The setting sun over the beach mirrored the colors of the Sunspell bottle, which prominently features hues of pink, purple, and orange, alongside imagery of a bright blue sea and whimsical hot air balloons. The atmosphere was designed to connect with "curious cocktail explorers" who, much like the brand itself, embrace wonder and exploration in global travel retail.

Lesley Gracie’s genius lies in her ability to distill moments of nature into liquid form, and Hendrick’s Sunspell is no exception. Her description of the sunsets in Scotland, particularly those seen over the mystical island of Ailsa Craig, perfectly reflects the gin’s delicate yet powerful composition.
