ARI exclusive Redbreast Cuatro Barriles Edition claims top whiskey accolade
ARI is celebrating the success of the Redbreast Cuatro Barriles Edition, available exclusively at Dublin Airport and Cork Airport Duty Free shops, at the 2024 Spirits Business Irish Whiskey Masters, where it claimed a Masters medal.
The world-first exclusive (RRP €108) in the brand’s home market is the latest release in Redbreast’s Iberian Series and is produced by Irish Distillers at its world-renowned Midleton Distillery in Co. Cork, Ireland.
Its April travel retail launch with ARI was marked with bottle signings by Billy Leighton, Redbreast Master Distiller Emeritus and special tasting opportunities at Dublin Airport Duty Free, much to the delight of passengers and whiskey aficionados.
Paul Hunnisett, ARI’s Global Head of Liquor, Tobacco & Confectionery, said, “We’re committed to bringing our customers the finest premium and exclusive products, and we work with the best suppliers in the world to bring something special to each of our locations. Congratulations to the team at Irish Distillers – this win is testament to this exceptional range and the work of their teams. It further assures passengers that they can find the very best at our stores.”
At the time of the launch, Laurent Pillet, CEO, Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail commented on its importance to the travel retail channel and to the category: “Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail recognizes the fantastic business opportunity that Redbreast Cuatro Barriles Limited Edition presents as awareness and popularity of Irish Whiskey as a category grows globally.
“Pernod Ricard and Redbreast fully embrace the role of advancing the premiumization of the category and driving incremental value growth. We will also focus on continuing to optimize the customer experience in store in order to recruit new consumers. This will all be made possible of course via our strong partnership with ARI; a relationship which enables the brand to keep flying in its home market.”
