Bowmore reveals two new rare whiskies in Timeless series
Suntory Global Spirits reveals the Bowmore Timeless 33-Year-Old
Suntory Global Spirits has unveiled two further rare additions to the Bowmore Single Malt Scotch Whisky Timeless Series: The Bowmore Timeless 33-Year-Old – a global travel retail exclusive – and the Bowmore Timeless 29-Year-Old, which is available only on domestic markets.
Both are limited-edition expressions, with just 3,000 bottles of each available. These two single malts follow on from the Bowmore Timeless 31-Year-Old – also a global travel retail exclusive – which was introduced in 2021.
The Bowmore Timeless Series is a collection of aged whisky masterpieces beautifully crafted and shaped by time, which showcase the intentional creation process which enables new flavors to reveal themselves as the spirit matures. These latest introductions are launched in collaboration with award-winning pianist, singer and composer, Hania Rani, who was captivated by the remarkable spirit of Bowmore’s home of Islay and inspired to write ‘The Boat’.

The travel retail-exclusive Bowmore Timeless 33-Year-Old (RRSP US$2,800) celebrates the complex layers of flavor from bringing together bourbon barrels with a definitive sherry finish, shaped by Matusalem Sherry seasoned European oak butts and 2nd fill European oak Oloroso sherry butts. Leading with sweet honey and jasmine notes on the nose, this rare whisky opens up to lively hints of menthol and eucalyptus and evolves to ripe orchard fruits with peat smoke to taste.
Within global travel retail, this single malt will be available in the UK, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Singapore, Turkey, Dubai, China, Hainan, Hong Kong and India. Airport activation locations include Hainan, Beijing, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Los Angeles.
The limited-edition Bowmore Timeless 29-Year-Old expression is created from a combination of exceptional Sherry-seasoned European oak casks and ex-bourbon American oak barrels filled in 1991 and 1992. Its rich flavor profile includes sherry-soaked raisins, cocoa, bitter orange, cherry blossom and licorice.
Inspired by the classic hourglass shape, each limited-edition whisky is presented in a distinctive black box which also includes an hourglass. Once turned, the grains of sand are released into the base of the hourglass, giving three minutes to enjoy the nose of this balanced masterpiece that has taken decades to perfect.
