Jägermeister launches new limited-edition City Skyline bottles

By GTR Magazine Staff

The limited-edition City Skyline bottles are Jägermeister’s postcards from 15 key international destinations which include India and Amsterdam

Mast-Jägermeister SE – the family-owned company and maker of the popular herbal liqueur – is launching a new global travel retail-exclusive series of location-themed bottles, as it increases its focus on the channel.

The limited-edition City Skyline bottles are Jägermeister’s postcards from 15 key international destinations: Amsterdam, Bangkok, Berlin, Copenhagen, Dubai, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, India, Istanbul, Mumbai, Munich, New Delhi, Norway and Singapore, all important travel destinations for Jägermeister consumers. Each of the 15 City Skyline bottles feature iconic sites, creating a collection of souvenir postcards. According to Mast-Jägermeister, the new designs appeal to travellers looking for a unique souvenir.

For India, sites include the Taj Mahal, Lotus Temple, Qutab Minar, The Red Fort, Golden Temple and the Indian elephant. A QR code on the bottle takes consumers to a dedicated landing page to access exclusive content and links to www.jaegermeister.com. These impactful designs incorporate the gold Jägermeister roundel, the marque of excellence and authenticity and deliver excellent on-shelf visibility. The tagline ‘One World, One Jägermeister’, emphasizes that the liquid inside remains the same.

Frankfurt City Skyline features with Gebr. Heinemann

The range is available in Gebr. Heinemann stores. The 1L bottles are sold at the same price point as the original Jägermeister bottle.

Jägermeister Vice-President Global Travel Retail, Tobias Witte says, “Our City Skyline range adds a new, local dimension to our mission to create the Best Nights of your life - today and tomorrow and gives our retail partners the opportunity to offer consumers a unique and memorable purchase.”

This latest launch follows the limited release earlier this month of Jägermeister 9556 Nights of Exploration in global travel retail, supported by The Taste of the Extraordinary campaign. The essence is taken from a single oak barrel which has remained sealed and stored for over 25 years at the home of Jägermeister in Wolfenbüttel, Germany. Special packaging has been created for 9556 Nights of Exploration and a handwritten serial number makes each bottle a true original.

Jägermeister, with an ABV of 35% is made from 56 different herbs, blossoms, roots and fruits. It was created by Curt Mast more than 80 years ago and the secret recipe remains unchanged. Made from all natural ingredients, its taste is characterized by hints of citrus, ginger and star anise, accompanied by a slightly bitter herbal note. The recommended serve is an ice cold shot at -18 degrees, straight from the freezer.

Jägermeister is now the eighth largest premium spirits brand line in the entire channel, according to IWSR.
