Villa Sandi produces the finest Prosecco on its extensive estates in the most renowned DOC and DOCG areas
Italian wine company Villa Sandi is launching Villa Sandi Il Fresco Prosecco DOC Rosé Millesimato 2022 at TFWA Cannes this year. The company will introduce it to guests at the opening cocktail on October 1.
Villa Sandi Il Fresco Prosecco DOC Rosé Millesimato 2022 (750-ml, RRP €13.50/ US$14.50) is made from a blend of Glera and Pinot Nero grapes. It is excellent as an aperitif, ideally served at 8-10°C, or with light snacks, linguine pasta, delicate cheeses and light pastries. Villa Sandi Il Fresco Prosecco DOC Rosé Millesimato 2022 is an elegant shade of pink, with copper highlights and has a lively and persistent perlage. Its aromatic freshness offers a bouquet of red fruits and floral scents, in particular notes of pomegranate and rose. On the palate it is silky, full and balanced.

Owned for generations by the Moretti Polegato family, Villa Sandi produces the finest Prosecco on its extensive estates in the most renowned DOC and DOCG areas between Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. At the heart of Villa Sandi is the ancient Venetian villa, a landmark to wine culture.
Villa Sandi wines are available in 130 domestic markets and in travel retail across Europe and Asia in airports, cruise ships and border stores. Airport customers include Gebr. Heinemann, Lotte and DFS. In the cruise channel Villa Sandi is available on Carnival Cruise Line ships in the US and in border stores in Northern Europe. Earlier this year, Villa Sandi opened a Prosecco bar, in collaboration with Lagardère Travel Retail and SAVE at Venice Marco Polo Airport to expose international travelers to a symbol of the Italian lifestyle.
“Villa Sandi is one of the most loved and authentic brands in the premium prosecco market and we are delighted to introduce Prosecco DOC Rosé Millesimato 2022 to visitors at TFWA Cannes,” says Villa Sandi Commercial Director, Flavio Geretto. “The winery combines ancient wine-making traditions with a mission to protect the environment and the long-term commercial future of the land. From the vineyard to the wine cellar, we are the custodians of the environment and constantly review our processes and supply chain.”
Villa Sandi is leading biodiversity and sustainability in vineyards, promoting its vision to wine growers in the region. Its vineyards are certified by The World Biodiversity Association as a Biodiversity Friend.
The company has built a hydroelectric power plant on the estate which uses water from the Brentella Canal and produces 600,000 kWh per year. This 100% clean energy is used day and night at the winery. Water is also taken from the canal to clean the wine cellar, bottles, wine tanks and cisterns. This is then purified and returned to the canal to irrigate the surrounding vineyards. A photovoltaic system with solar panels has operated for a decade.
Environmental sensors and advanced meteorological and phytosanitary management systems optimize yield and minimize power, irrigation and pest control input. Insects and bees have a happy home at Villa Sandi and neither herbicides nor synthetic chemical compounds have been used for over 10 years.
“Villa Sandi doesn’t simply talk sustainability, we live and breathe environmental awareness and enhancement,” says Flavio. “Operators and travelers now share our vision and demand high quality products with genuine environmental credentials. At the fair, we look forward to meeting existing and potential partners to explain the provenance of our Villa Sandi wines and our mission as a responsible, forward-thinking wine company.”
Villa Sandi is part of the Italian Signature Wines Academy, a group of nine family-run wineries (Frescobaldi, Allegrini, Bellavista, Arnaldo Caprai, Feudi di San Gregorio, Fontanafredda, Planeta, Masciarelli and Villa Sandi) with a long, wine-making tradition. Together with Villa Sandi, the Moretti Polegato Group includes La Gioiosa, Casa Gheller, Borgo Conventi and Opere Trevigiane brands.
