Champagne Lanson renews agreement with Wimbledon, will soon celebrate 50 years as partners
After 46 years as Official Partner of The Championships, Wimbledon, earlier this month Champagne Lanson announced the renewal of its partnership with The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club for another five years as Official Partner. Champagne Lanson’s 50th anniversary of this partnership will occur in 2027.
The Championships this year (normally referred to as “Wimbledon”) saw Champagne Lanson served exclusively across all bars and hospitality suites within the Grounds of the All England Club. Since 1977, the first year of Champagne Lanson’s association with The Championships, an estimated 4,000,000 glasses of Champagne Lanson have been enjoyed at the event.
"Champagne Lanson and the All England Club passionately uphold the values of tradition, transparency, legacy and savoir faire after an already 46-year-long and successful association,” said François Van Aal, President, Champagne Lanson. “Wimbledon continues to be the pre-eminent global tennis tournament, hotly anticipated by our customers worldwide and we love sharing these amazing sporting memories with them. This renewed partnership will also ring in the 50th year of our association with The Championships, Wimbledon in 2027, and will be cause for much celebration at The House.”
Usama Al-Qassab, Marketing & Commercial Director at the All England Club, said: “We are delighted to extend our long-standing partnership with Champagne Lanson for another five years. A day out at Wimbledon is a special occasion for our guests and Champagne Lanson is the perfect accompaniment as they celebrate. The renewed agreement will see The Championships and Champagne Lanson enter a sixth decade of partnership, a remarkably enduring relationship, of which we are very proud.”
