Benriach announces 40-YO travel retail exclusive
Benriach The Forty Octave Cask Matured was bottled in September 2017 and preserved at the peak of its maturation

The travel exclusive Benriach The Forty Octave Cask Matured is the ultimate expression of Benriach, matured with creative consideration and based on decades-old craftsmanship, ingenuity, and an openness to embracing the unconventional when it comes to whisky-making.
For the creation of Benriach The Forty Octave Cask Matured the spirit laid down in 1976 was moved into three octave casks in 2011 for a final maturation. These three octave casks, with an eighth of the size of a regular cask, were crafted from the staves of American oak bourbon casks, bringing out flavors of indulgent orchard and dark fruits and a flawless silken oak finish. Benriach The Forty Octave Cask Matured was bottled in September 2017 and preserved at the peak of its maturation.
“The initial launch of the Benriach The Forty Octave Cask Matured was not physical but digital, offered as an NFT (Non-Fungible Token). Ten luxury twin sets with two bottles – one Benriach The Forty and one Benriach The Forty Octave Cask Matured – were available exclusively on the NFT marketplace BlockBar.com from October 11, 2022 for US$8,000 each, to be swapped with the products which are now physically available," says Stéphane Morizet, Marketing Director GTR at Brown-Forman.
The strongly limited travel retail exclusive Benriach The Forty Octave Cask Matured, at 51.5% ABV, is available now on shelves in key international airport locations and listed at US$4,500.
