Habanos, S.A. celebrates Rafael Gonzalez Coronas de Lonsdales launch in Portugal
The event was hosted by Her Excellency Cuban Ambassador in Portugal, Yusmari Díaz, the General and Commercial Directors of EMPOR, S.A.
Habanos, S.A. presented Rafael Gonzalez Coronas de Lonsdales exclusively in Portugal. The launch took place in Lisbon, on February 11 at the Montes Claros. The Habanos Gala Dinner Portugal event was divided in two sessions with guests from La Casa del Habano stores, Habanos Specialist and Habanos Point.
Hosted by Her Excellency Cuban Ambassador in Portugal, Yusmari Díaz, the General and Commercial Directors of EMPOR, S.A., the event kicked off with an introduction to the Rafael Gonzalez Coronas de Lonsdales Habanos that were on display. Attendees were also invited to taste the product, with 48 ring gauge x and 127-millimeter length. The Coronas de Lonsdales are characterized by soft flavor, handmade with long filler from a careful selection of leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region. This region is known for producting the “world’s best tobacco,” according to the press release. The experienced was paired with port wine Sandeman Tawny (30 years old, of Sogrape S.A.).

Rafael González stepped into the worldwide market with a new image last year. Its packaging complies with the requirements of the European Union and is presented with a redesigned band an upgraded printing technology to better display colors and enhancing the view of the graphic details.
The new Regional Edition for Portugal was also launched during the Habanos Gala Dinner Portugal event. El Rey del Mundo Templários, with a 54 ring gauge x 120-millimeter length, with a light to medium strength.
“The name of this vitola is inspired by the mysteries and myths of the Order of Knights Templar, which is closely related to Portuguese history,” reads the press release.
“The Habanos Gala Dinner Portugal was a great evening where the participants had a marvelous experience, enjoying a night with a vast selection of food, premium drinks, and traditional Cuban music, all in the company of marvellous Habanos of Rafael González Coronas de Lonsdales and the El Rey del Mundo Templários,” the release continued.
