In Denmark, LEGO Group is producing protective visors for healthcare workers. The company has converted a number of moulding machines at a plant in Billund and can make more than 13,000 visors a day for the Danish Health Authorities.

Carsten Rasmussen, LEGO Chief Operations Officer shares, "The idea came from a colleague in our incredibly creative Engineering department who heard there was a desperate urgent for safety equipment for COVID-19 in Denmark. He approached the rest of his team with his idea for a visor and they started to trial production. The design and quality was approved by local health authorities. Approximately 100 LEGO employees have been involved in this project, from developing the design and new moulds, to working with our supplies to make the visors a reality in just a couple of weeks."

"We’ re helping those impacted by COVID-19 in a number of other ways too. The LEGO Foundation pledged $50 million to charity partners that provide children with essential supplies and learning through play support, and we’re donating 500,000 LEGO sets to children in need."

LEGO has also launched #letsbuildtogether, a series of inspirational online content from LEGO colleagues to help families find moments of playful joy every day while many remain at home.
