L'Occitane Travel Retail is bringing festive cheer to the world of travel retail, with the launch of Sol de Janeiro’s 'CELEBRATE OUT LOUD' global holiday campaign. At the heart of the celebratory initiative is an unmissable, and immersive 360-degree pop-up at Charles de Gaulle Airport, crafted in partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail, Extime, JC Decaux, ADP, and Globe Travel Retail. Other key partners include Le Chocolat des Français, Paris calling, Elba and With Swift.
With the tagline ‘irresistible gifts to escape the ordinary,’ the campaign offers travelers a dazzling, sensory escape and a chance to immerse themselves in the vibrant, sun-kissed spirit of Brazil during the holiday season. The pop-up is a feast for the senses, featuring a bold pink, yellow, and turquoise jungle-inspired tropical theme bursting with animals, foliage and flowers. Travelers will encounter playful life-sized dummies of Sol de Janeiro’s iconic products such as best-selling Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, alongside oversized cut-outs of cheeky monkeys and vivid parakeets. Lively festive Brazilian music will serve as an acoustic backdrop, while a warm, inviting and inclusive atmosphere is guaranteed.
A festive wonderland of limited edition holiday sets
The pop-up is a treasure trove for gifting, showcasing an exclusive assortment of Sol de Janeiro’s Limited Edition Holiday Sets. Also on offer will be best-sellers, Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist, and indulgent body care ranges including Delicia Drench, Beija Flor, and Bom Dia. Brand promoters in safari-themed outfits welcome travelers to explore the Bum Bum Table, where they can test must-have products, such as body creams and perfume mists. A colorful, fun backwall of exclusive holiday sets tempts shoppers to choose their perfect gift. Adding to the excitement, visitors can participate in an entertaining Memory Game for the chance to win fabulous complimentary gifts, such as samples or chocolates. Customers can also enjoy a festive photo booth with augmented reality filters to share seasonal digital greeting cards.
Partnerships and elevated gifting
The L’Occitane pop-up will feature a gifting station at which gift bags and name tags will be offered. A Furoshiki wrap will be available to customers making purchases over €120 (US$125). This eco-friendly and reusable cloth wrapping is typically used to wrap gifts in Japan. It is decorated in the vibrant signature colors of the Sol de Janeiro brand with lively animal motifs and comes with a handy wrapping instruction guide. Additionally, a Brazilian-style bright pink beach bag with joyful tropical aesthetic is on offer for those spending over 80€ (US$83). Adding a sweet French twist to Brazilian cheer, Sol de Janeiro has teamed up with Le Chocolat des Français, offering shoppers scrumptious complimentary salted caramel chocolate treats, paired with the iconic scent of Brazilian Bum Bum Cream – an irresistible blend of caramel and pistachio. This unique collaboration ensures a memorable and festive experience for travelers at Charles de Gaulle Airport this holiday season.
UBER collaboration
Messaging for the vibrant activation will be amplified via L’Occitane Travel Retail’s geo-targeted marketing campaign in partnership with UBER and With Swift to enhance the festive shopping experience for travelers heading to Charles de Gaulle Airport. The campaign aims to reach more than 25,000 travelers and incorporates performance tracking via a special coupon which is redeemable online for a complimentary Sol de Janeiro yellow pouch for any purchase of 39€ (US$40)or more.
