A voyage through nature
Upon entering the L’OCCITANE Botanical Lab, guests embark on a transformative journey that offers an immersive experience of all five senses guided through four zones: the Son et Lumière – sound and light– visual spectacle, the Bubble Garden, the Hair Lab, and the Face Lab, each highlighting a different aspect of L’OCCITANE’s beauty expertise.
The journey begins with the Son et Lumière visual spectacle where guests are enveloped in a 360-degree digitalized sensory experience that captivates with sound and light. Stunning projections of lush botanicals, including Rosemary, Lavender and Peppermint, allow travelers to feel connected to the natural elements that inspire the products of L’OCCITANE en Provence. The Son et Lumière digital spectacle invites guests to experience the power of nature and sparks curiosity about the stories behind each ingredient.
A true innovation is the Bubble Garden, where guests can enhance their sense of touch and smell by catching bubbles infused with L’OCCITANE en Provence’s signature botanicals. Visitors are invited to feel and experience the unique scents of all four of the brand’s hair care ranges, infused with natural ingredients. These scents include the soothing and elegant notes of the Intensive Repair Collection and the relaxing essence of the Gentle and Balance Collection. This interactive experience fosters a deeper appreciation of L’OCCITANE en Provence’s hair care rituals, showcasing the brand’s dedication to natural, effective beauty solutions.
In the Hair Lab, visitors can take advantage of an exclusive and personal in-depth hair diagnosis from L’OCCITANE en Provence’s expert team in order to better understand their particular hair condition. Guests are then recommended products from the brand’s hair collection designed to meet their individual needs. L’OCCITANE en Provence is now the leading brand in Asia in the hair care category and has recently introduced both a Scalp Night Serum and Fortifying Serum. The former has 97% natural origin ingredients including Immortelle essential oils and is designed to smooth and hydrate the scalp. The Fortifying Serum contains Rosemary essential oil and is a triple-action product that underwent 70 formulations and four different clinical trials to find the perfect formula. It reduces hair breakage by 51%and volumizes the hair by 27%.
At the Face Lab, visitors are offered a personalized analysis of their skin with a state-of-the-art hand-held device. Following the analysis, the client is recommended tailormade products to suit the condition of their skin. The Immortelle collection takes center stage here, particularly Immortelle Divine Cream, the brand’s iconic and number one bestselling face cream. Powered by Immortelle Super Extract derived from 100% organic Immortelle essential oil, the cream is a natural alternative to Retinol and Vitamin C. It targets fine lines and wrinkles, smooths the skin and diminishes visible signs of ageing. The Expert consultations highlight the benefits of these products, complemented by a soothing hand massage using Immortelle products. This experience demonstrates how L’OCCITANE’s innovative skincare techniques harmonize with nature. The journey culminates in the Gifting Zone, seamlessly blending discovery with shopping and inviting visitors to take home L’OCCITANE’s star products and exclusive, limited offerings.
Dorothy Liu, Vice President of Perfume & Cosmetics, China Tourism Group Duty Free Corporation, added, "Our ongoing partnership with L’OCCITANE Travel Retail continues to push the boundaries of experiential retail, and the Botanical Lab is a perfect example of this.
