Coty Travel Retail Asia-Pacific partners with Malaysia Airport on fragrance pop-up

The theme of the fragrance pop-up store is “Around the World”

Following the success of its last pop-up in China’s Haikou airport, Coty Travel Retail Asia-Pacific has unveiled a multi-brand fragrance store in partnership with Malaysia Airport Niaga Sdn Bhd. Themed “Around the World,” the store carries iconic brands such as Chloé and Marc Jacobs, and will be open until May 2023.

Inspired by travel and fragrance discovery, the pop-up store brings a new retail concept to travelers in Malaysia Airport through its curation, interactive setup and “retailtainment” offerings, according to a news release.

A giant hot air balloon sits at the center of the store, where the first stop is the elegant Chloé podium followed by the world of Marc Jacobs, where visitors can experience the brand’s youthful playfulness. Travelers will be transported around the world by fragrance — encountering everything from ancient spices and flowers in bloom to cedarwood from the Himalayas.

“Around the World” offers a memorable shopping experience and fun interaction. A QR code will take customers to an exclusive online app, allowing visitors to take selfies with photo effects and floating hot air balloon filters. Customers can then download and share their selfies with their chosen loved ones. As a finishing touch, customers can receive custom-printed ribbons to tie onto shopping bags or to wear around the wrist.
