Exciting animations light up L’Oréal in Asia
L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific has revealed details of six brand animations on the Chinese resort island of Hainan for La Roche-Posay, SkinCeuticals, Lancôme, Maison Margiela, L’Oréal Paris and Yves Saint Laurent Beauté.

In collaboration with China Duty Free Group (CDFG), YSL Beauté Travel Retail Asia Pacific presents the launch of Le Vestiaire des Parfums – a fine perfumery couture collection inspired by Yves Saint Laurent’s iconic wardrobe pieces.
The celebration ran from 19 to 20 July through an immersive event to enrich guests with Yves Saint Laurent’s inspiration behind each fragrance.
The elegance of Le Vestiaire des Parfums is also being staged via an exclusive podium event at Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex from 15 July to 29 August, 2022.
In collaboration with Global Premium (Haikou) Duty Free Plaza, Lancôme Travel Retail Asia Pacific has created its first full Hainan takeover with the new IDÔLE fragrance launch and “filled the air with love beyond olfactory experience” during the Qixi festival, the French brand said.
As the first-ever city takeover, Lancôme created a spectacular street projection show, leaving footprints of IDÔLE along Haikou routes and tourist landmarks, from 8 to 30 July, 2022.
In collaboration with CDFG, L’Oréal Paris has opened its outdoor pop-up to celebrate the exclusive Hainan launch of Europe’s number one serum, Revitalift Filler HA Serum in Hainan travel retail.
The pop-up features multiple phygital and retailtainment touchpoints to drum up travelers’ excitement for the Hainan debut for the Revitalift Filler HA Serum from 1 to 31 July at Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex.
Dermocosmetic brand La Roche-Posay has taken over the summer travel retail season in Hainan with the Anthelios suncare franchise.
In collaboration with CDFG, La Roche-Posay unveils a new, premium, medical-look Anthelios Solar Lab pop-up endorsed by a local dermatologist at Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Haitang Bay.
With a scientific foundation and endorsed by Hainan dermatologist Chen Juan, the Anthelios Solar Lab features Hainan real-time experiences with a live UV index screen and UV camera beauty-tech to emphasize the relevance of effective sun protection.
The activation includes a 360-degree activation featuring a strong collaboration with beauty influencers, China’s weather application MOJI, and prominent out-of-home visuals throughout Hainan. The pop-up ran throughout July 2022.
SkinCeuticals Travel Retail Asia Pacific has returned with its successful Antioxidant Lab in Hainan this summer at Haitang Bay in collaboration with CDFG.
To highlight SkinCeuticals’ mission in providing advanced skincare backed by science, the Antioxidant Lab pop-up strengthens its medical and scientific expertise.
Connecting their online and offline beauty journey, Hainan travelers discover three antioxidant serums: CE Ferulic, Phloretin CF and Silymarin CF.

MAISON MARGIELA FRAGRANCES
L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific and CDFG have joined hands to open a two-floor pop up this year. Immersive experiences embrace the brand’s signature Replica fragrance: Lazy Sunday Morning, and one of its best-selling fragrances, Sailing Day.
An opening ceremony graced by brand ambassador Chris Lee took place on 5 July. The pop-up also welcomed Jing Boran to introduce the immersive Maison Margiela Fragrances home experiences with Replica Bath & Body and home-scenting products on 10 July. The pop-up ran from 9 June to 10 July, 2022.
