Targeting growth in Asia: Ritter Sport expands global travel retail product portfolio

German chocolate specialist Ritter Sport will showcase an expanded range of GTR specific products for its mainline Travel Retail Editions and Amicelli brand at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition, May 11-16, in Singapore (Basement 2, Stand 2-G29).

For the Asia market, key products will be the Ritter Sport mini Colourful Variety Tower Pink 250g (updated for 2025) and the Colourful Variety Pouch Pink 500g. The TR Edition 100g Pistachio Tower has also been added to the line up and further to launching with Gebr. Heinemann last year, is now available for all travel retail partners. This new flavor has been one of Ritter Sport’s most successful products within its nut selection portfolio.

This year, Ritter Sport is introducing its latest wafer chocolate brand, Amicelli, for travel retail partners, which is being rolled out in global travel retail with a special focus on Asia Pacific.

Part of the Ritter Sport family since 2021, this year Amicelli is embarking on expansion into key travel retail territories, especially for travelers looking for delicate sweet treats and gifting opportunities. The two Amicelli flavors –milk and hazelnut – will be available in travel retail. The signature 10cm Amicelli wafer roll taste experience is a ‘light, crispy texture filled with velvety cream and wrapped in a smooth chocolate coating for a rich, nutty taste’. The hazelnut flavor was a firm favorite among travelers for recent GTR activations in Bangkok and Tel Aviv.


Ritter Sport's mini Colourful Variety Tower tower has been updated this year 

For its 2025 Asia Pacific campaign, Ritter Sport said it will be concentrating on building brand awareness for its key TR Editions hero products: the new mini Colourful Variety Tower, which includes 15 minis and five different flavors and is a mix of sweet, salty, fruity and crunchy. The mini tower line-up of flavors is Salted Caramel, Strawberry Crème, Alpine Milk, Cornflakes and Butter Biscuit.

The same flavor combinations are included in the popular Colourful Mix Pouch Pink 500g including 30 minis across the five different flavors. Both the new tower and pouch are themed around a pop of pink and nod to Ritter Sport’s famous colorful squares brand equity in travel retail.

The TR Edition Pistachio Tower combines creamy milk chocolate with crunchy, roasted pistachios, balanced with a hint of salt.

Room for growth in Asia Pacific

Ignacio Aznar, International Key Account Manager Travel Retail for Ritter Sport GTR, said, “We are looking forward to meeting customers old and new in Singapore. There is plenty of room for growth in the Asia region and we hope to grow our reach with our TR Edition products this year.

“The TFWA Asia Pacific showcase will give us the opportunity to build brand awareness in key target markets such as Southeast Asia and China. We plan to catch up with our customers to discuss much needed price adjustments and align growth plans with existing customers.”
