Valrhona and Lagardère Travel Retail celebrate Lyon's culinary heritage

The replica of the prestigious Bocuse d'Or trophy stands as the centerpiece of Valrhona's Lyon Airport activation, symbolizing the city's status as the World Capital of Gastronomy and celebrating the brand's role as an official partner of the world-renowned culinary competition
Valrhona has launched an exclusive retail activation at Lyon Airport Terminal 1, celebrating the city's status as the World Capital of Gastronomy and its connection to the prestigious Bocuse d'Or culinary competition.
Running from January 23 to February 24 in partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail, the activation features a replica of the Bocuse d'Or trophy and coincides with SIRHA 2025, the world's leading food service and hospitality event.
The showcase includes Valrhona's special Lyon-themed sleeves for its 50 chocolate squares giftbox, along with a ribbon personalization service. The design elements pay tribute to Lyon's rich culinary heritage and Valrhona's role in the local gastronomic ecosystem.
“We’re incredibly proud of our roots in Tain l’Hermitage, just a short distance from Lyon, a city that embodies the essence of gastronomy,” said Zeyneb Larabi, Global Retail & Travel Retail Director at Valrhona. “Our partnerships with chefs and our role in major culinary events like the Bocuse d'Or, allow us to play an active role in shaping the future of fine dining. Through this activation, we celebrate the close ties between our chocolate and the culinary excellence of Lyon. This activation is more than a celebration of Lyon’s food culture; it’s a reflection of Valrhona’s ongoing commitment to the world of gastronomy and the culinary community that drives it forward.”
The activation underscores Valrhona's evolution from a local chocolate maker in the Drôme region to a global brand partnering with top chefs, while maintaining its commitment to culinary excellence, innovation and artistry.
