Ethical chocolate maker Tony's Chocolonely has launched an exclusive Amsterdam-themed bar at Schiphol Airport, celebrating both its Dutch heritage and Amsterdam's 750th anniversary while expanding its travel retail footprint.
The Amsterdam bar, featuring the brand's bestselling milk caramel sea salt flavor in special destination packaging, is now available throughout Schiphol's retail locations including the dedicated 50-square-meter Tony's store in Lounge 3 and a new branded corner in the D pier.
The launch follows the bar's successful introduction in domestic Dutch retail. For Schiphol Airport Retail, it represents an expansion of sense-of-place offerings that connect with the location's history and culture.

Like all Tony's products, the Amsterdam bar is produced using ethically sourced cocoa beans from West Africa through the company's 5 Sourcing Principles program. This framework ensures traceable beans, long-term cooperative partnerships, premium pricing to support living farmer incomes and investment in sustainable agricultural practices.
The bar maintains Tony's signature unequal segment design, which highlights ongoing inequalities in the cocoa industry. This approach aligns with the B Corp and Fairtrade-certified company's mission to end exploitation in the cocoa supply chain, particularly in Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire where 60% of global cocoa originates.
Through its Open Chain initiative, Tony's invites other chocolate makers to adopt similar responsible sourcing practices and transform their supply chains. The company describes its approach as "crazy about chocolate, serious about people."
