Cloetta Global Travel Retail looks back at another successful edition of TFWA WE in Cannes.

The exhibition and conference provided a great opportunity to connect with existing and potential new customers. As with previous years, Cloetta GTR was exhibiting in the Harbour Village on the M/Y Antisan.

Despite the beginning of this year still being impacted by COVID-19, results proved that the industry is resilient and Cloetta brands are able to grow, despite challenges faced.

This year’s edition was extra special for Cloetta, as the company was nominated for three awards: Best Confectionery Product at the Travel Retail Awards with The Jelly Bean Factory 36mix 175g, Star Confectionery Product & Fine Foods Product of the Year at the Frontier Awards with The Jelly Bean Factory 36mix 175g and Collaboration of the Year at the Frontier Awards with the permanent Jelly Bean Factory display at Václav Havel Airport Prague.

This year’s edition was extra special for Cloetta, as the company was nominated for three awards:

1. Best Confectionery Product at the Travel Retail Awards (ft. The Jelly Bean Factory 36mix 175-gram)

2. Star Confectionery Product & Fine Foods Product of the Year at the Frontier Awards (ft. The Jelly Bean Factory 36mix 175-gram)

3. Collaboration of the Year at the Frontier Awards (ft. its permanent Jelly Bean Factory display at Václav Havel Airport Prague

For the former nomination, the confectionery supplier achieved the “highly recommended” award in the category. The team says to be recognized by consumers as one of the best products in the category is a great honor.

While reflecting on the successful new product launches of the past year (Red Band Sharing Bags: Swedish Fish & Sour Suckers, Kex Sharing Bag), brand refreshes (The Jelly Bean Factory) and collaborations (PEZ), Cloetta Global Travel Retail is always looking for innovative ways to grow the sugar confectionary category.

In line with growing consumer demand for more natural options in the confectionery offering, Cloetta Global Travel Retail will be adding a novel product to its range, which launched in 2022 under the umbrella of Red Band. More info on this product and the first listing to be announced soon.
